The end of my first year at university is here! To celebrate and commemorate everything we have achieved and created on our course this year, my class created work to be displayed at an end of year exhibition. My Digital Art teacher carefully and painstakingly curated our work into an online virtual exhibition.
It was amazing to see everyone's work together despite us individually being apart. I loved seeing how different our work is to each other, each person already has their own discernable style, and I really look forward to witnessing how we each progress over the coming two years.
The exhibition itself has received fantastic reviews from those that have seen it, as I've copied below
“Really impressive work from the 1st years! Such a talented bunch!”
“These are fantastic!”
“I love the virtual gallery, hadn't been in one like that before. Some great stuff in there!”
“Thanks for sharing, it's fabulous. What a cool project to end the first year on.”
“Really impressive stuff from the first years! Loved having a virtual ramble through the exhibition!”
“Very exciting work!! Thanks for sharing!!”
Chris Main, director of East 15, phoned our head of course Rosie, to say how much he was impressed by ‘the second-year’s virtual exhibition’. Rosie informed him that the exhibition was not the work of the second-years but of the first-years, and he said he was ‘astounded’. He loved the variety of the still imagery and particularly enjoyed some of the film work. He also said he thought Tyra’s poster was ‘outstanding’.
The exhibition itself is still live for a little bit longer if you wanted to see some of the things we as a class have been working on, and it can be accessed here https://artspaces.kunstmatrix.com/en/exhibition/1304017/interpose (I recommend using a computer and Chrome to navigate, and selecting guided tour makes it even simpler. The interface is fantastic and fills the void left by the current absence of real-life galleries wonderfully, however it can be a tiny bit fiddly to navigate)
And if you don't want to look through it (although you definitely should) here are some highlights.

So here is to our first year! We've already come so far both as a team and individually, and I cannot see what else is in store with university and beyond!
